I will start by saying this is the attitude I try to have to my own life. It isn't always nice, but it gets me through. Please if you are wondering why you have 5 cars that don't run, read through this entire article and watch some of the videos. If you start please finish as I think this could help some people.
Bonus in the 2nd page there is a video that is so weird I almost died laughing. Has a Tommy Chong looking guy in a cape 'singing'.
Enjoy and get motivated...

Lmfao. Alec Baldwin. Was, Is, and Always will be the best actor ever.
He got an Oscar for that 7 minute performance. The only seen he was in in the entire movie!
-
Awesome article, thanks for that! :D

This article is some of what I am and some of what I want to be most days. I needed it this morning. Thanks for reading. Almost should be a sticky IMHO, but have not a clue where it would fit.
-
Should make a new category called motivation where you post links like this and of crazy projects from around the net.
-
I cannot, that is admin.
I cannot believe no one commented on the caped guy...that was nuts
-
wow i think i'm going to read this every morning and every night. so true. it makes alot of things make sense, haters are inspiring, they're making noise because you did something that they didn't, or couldn't. you're a nice guy if you do nice things, not if you do nothing, not if u just don't do bad things. I have always had the anti nice guy opinion about dating, all the self proclaimed nice guys i have heard crying, are always people who are scared to approach a girl, or don't take the hint when a girl hits on them, or find every excuse when a girl actually is interested. The jerks are mostly just regular guys have normal arguements that happen in every relationship. business isn't some evil monster created by people, business is people being people. final comment on it, this *** is inspiring, but i still want to play xbox.
-
I like the "if you want to work here, sell!!!!"
I like my xbox as well :D
-
I enjoyed the article despite the first paragraph saying it wasn't for me.
Letting my geek flag fly a little, my best tip for getting all the projects done is AUDIOBOOKS from the local library on an iPod. Definitely as entertaining as an xbox and yet allows (or even encourages) multitasking on a project. It makes drudgery actually fun.

what kind of audio books are you a fan of?
while we're on philosophy here, something i have been fighting with lately is when are u a man??? u can listen to bob dylan blowin in the wind a million times, but it doesn't answer it!!! its enjoyable to hear tho haha. i am 24 i've had atleast 1 job at a time since i was 14, saved most of my money, went to a vocational highschool got bad grades haha, learned about electronics, got hired by a biomed company when i was still in highschool and ive worked their for over 6 years full time now, bought a house when i was 21, have a gf for 4 years now. i don't feel like a child at all, but not a man. i guess i can answer it myself that i'd have to accomplish some more criteria that i have to consider people a man. anyways now u guys no where the tears on my pillow came from
-
And I guess, what's it matter anyway as long as you're happy

It's kind of funny but the only written books I read are technical manuals because I don't have time to sit and read fiction. The only audiobooks I listen to, tho, are fiction. I tend to listen to science fiction/fantasy or general fiction. I find it actually assists my focus on getting work done. With a good audiobook, I'd rather do just about any tedious task rather than sit on my a$$. They're more entertaining than movies, last longer and I don't have to look at a screen the whole time. I am also an avid music appreciator, but for the purpose of getting tasks done audiobooks are much more effective. The thread of the story keeps me at the task. Best tool I've come across since buying a welder...

CCR says someday never comes. I have struggled with the "grown up" part and attribute to it being that there is really no right of passage in todays world that I know. I can say sometime around 30 years old I felt like things were finally stable in my head, so that is where I started telling people I could be a grown up now.
As far as the books on mp3/mp4 my wife got me into the Black dagger brotherhood series. Kind of like them. Same as libby when it comes to that, the books I read are manuals ...either for life or cars. The books I listen to are there for the escapism and usually are fiction.
-
i am the same way, i have a hard time reading a book unless its something very technical or political. which is great for work and keeping up on the news but i can't get into stories i think my mind wonders too much i usually end up doing that thing where you read 3-4 pages and then i come out of my day dream and i can't remember what i just read over the past 4 pages but i definitely read it. my brothers been trying to get my into pod casts and stuff, i'll have to give all of that a try.

Best book series I ever read? Stephanie Meyer's: The Twilight Saga. No lie, read all four 700+ page books in under 2.5 weeks.
Extremely captivating, what a read. A book for future generations.
Ebert&Roper give it 7 out of 5 stars.
(but srsly, I did read them.. and I did love them.. Don't you judge me...! ;))

A pessimist is one who makes difficulties out of his opportunities. An opimist is one who makes opportunities out of his difficulties.

Dear sweet merciful Christ I needed to read that. This must be what all the good techs at work think all the time. I'm gonna finish my project this year, and learn German! And learn how to operate on a gunshot wound in the street.

I got the Twilight series of audiobooks from the library. I enjoyed them. Very entertaining. I then borrowed the movies from the library and they were awful. Just terrible. If I were the author I'd be pissed... except for the money... ;D
-
I was in need of this again. It seems since the baby has been born I am a natural slacker. For those in need enjoy again. :D
