Title: Harbor Freight is almost awesome sometimes..
Post by: CarlosA on November 19, 2012, 06:58:43 pm
I don`t really go to harbor freight much but every now and then there is something we can use.

I have been thinking about this dial indicator for a while and after ordering a metric piece that didn't fit my adapter I forgot about it.

So i`m happy to report that the HF digital dial indicator fits the standard adapters and has a nice big easy to see display. I`ll try it out soon and let everyone know if it works well. My car is still being weird with the vibes and occasional white smoke but yet easy starting.

My HF dial doesn't fit either of my adapters without removing a part, rigging a rubber band opposite return spring, and hooking it up backward.
It is an older one though.

Yeah .. i had the same problem with the metric gauge i got online - the stem wasnt long enough, the diameter was too big, etc - all this after i got rid of my lathe of course. :(
