Hello
I have a 1994 Jetta Mk III 1.9 TD car with AAZ diesel engine!
the engine is currently almost factory, I would like to get more torque out of it, what should I replace or what should I set. The only modification is the OEM intercooler.

look around, see what everyone else is doing to go faster..

hp and torque are both basically the same thing, high revving engines just make "less" torque because hp is a measure of torque at velocity. so all you wanna do is like r.o.r said is do any modifications that make more power period.

First few things I did to my AAZ where:
0. Got a boost gauge and EGT gauge!
1. Turned up the boost by adding a manual boost controller.
2. Turned up the fuel.
3. Enjoyed my car alot more.
