It's an FF (I probably should've figured, I think the others were Eurospec), .76 vs .71 on the GP...but having a 4th gear will be nice....and I've got a cool idea about door cards, till I can find some proper ones. Atwoods sells rubber sheet by the foot 3/8" and 1/4"..I'm thinkin' I could use those, small carriage bolts with wingnuts...instant door card with sound-deadening and insulating properties. (I want to put in electric door locks and power windows eventually)...but that'll at least close up all those holes in the door till I realize my "vision"

if you got a GP, and a FF, then thats a no brainer, hang onto the GP, put it on the shelf, and throw the FF right on in there..
what year is the FF?
early ones had .75 fifth, the late ones had a .71 fifth..
-
it's an 81 out of a cabriolet, so I'd put money that it's the .76 (heavier car, and the need to have the appearance of sportiness)

well, wheres my money then? cause that trans has a .71 fifth gear!
anything before 80 had .75 fifth, anything after 80 had .71 fifth..
(how much money were we wagering?) lol..

Post the full code off the bottom of the trans (letters and numbers), and solve the debate!
-
if its a 7, 8, 9, or 0, then its 80 or older..
if its a 1, 2, 3, or 4, then its an 81 or newer..
*the last letter in the trans code*

According to the tranny list, the FF had a .76, now you're obviously more knowledgable than I, but all the reference material I've seen says .76

idk.. .75 and .76 could just be the difference of who is rounding the numbers for the gear ratios..
i dont think .01 is really a big deal.
