Title: Diesel Newb with Passat B3 Wagon Tuning Project
Post by: G2T on March 28, 2011, 02:59:30 pm
Hey All,

I`m Bryn, Based in West Wales UK, I`ve searched this place out as I`ve just put an AAZ power B3 wagon on the road as my daily workhorse.  I love the car, but the stock AAZ needs a bit of tweaking to cut it as my tow car.

Its a one previous owner from new car with an Elsbett veg oil conversion.

The plan is to do some tweaking on the existing aaz, but also build a replacement lump up combining the best parts from a couple of engines that I have acumulated, and SB 1.6gtd, another aaz, and a couple of 1z tdi`s.

So far my knowledge is quite limited, and much of the stuff I have read has been a bit contradictory, so any help/advice, or even links to solid info would be great.

Did the Elsbett kit come with bigger injectors?

Did the Elsbett kit come with bigger injectors?

Yes, was all fitted by the previous owner, he said it had larger injectors, heavy duty glow plugs which stay on longer, a warming loop on the coolant system and extra filtration, may be other features, but I`ve not really got my head around it fully yet.
