Title: Waterpump pulley
Post by: gnavs on October 04, 2010, 07:40:44 am
So I'm nearing the end of my AAZ rebuild and need some additional info regarding the waterpump pulley.  I've deleted the AC and power steering and am left with a water pump that wants to be run by the V belt and not the serp.  What I need is a serp pulley to install on the water pump so I can just run one belt for all of my accessories.  I did some research yesterday and it sounds like the VR6 pulley will work but I'd like to hear what some of you have done.
I'll likely be fabbing a tensioner like Lucas' here to keep things toight.

Yup VR6 pully is the one to use.  Mine needed a spacer to run in the center of the belt, I just used the center part of the v-belt pulley cut out as the spacer.  But, the vr6 water pump pulley is the one you want.

Sweet, thanks.  Is it MK3 specific or can I use a MK4 pulley?
