can someone tell me what car this belongs in, have not seen one like it yet...searched for the better part of an hour....
its a Schadek brand pump!!!

Looks like a longitudinal oil pump.
From a fox or the like.

my vanagon engine had that style pump..

I had one like that in my caddy for 2 years . It eventually wouldn't prime and I had to replace it even though it still looked good.

no part number that's what makes it so hard....you guys have helped already though at least u can give me the era......it def doesn't belong in a 1985 jetta diesel 1.6d, found that out!!!

Is there an oil hole at the end of the shaft,
where it goes into the vacuum pump?

That looks very similar to my 1.5 pump... My photos of my pump aren't that great, but everything appears to visually match.

Did you get a chance to measure the lobes of the pump? I believe 36 mm is preferred length. Anybody else chime in on this.
