Title: Intermediate Shaft Mod?
Post by: abnkeis on July 12, 2010, 09:20:16 pm
I was going to turn down the diameter of my intermediate shaft while I have it out and was wondering what the recommended diameter to go down to is. Also what is the RPM range of the shaft? 0-2000 rpm's?

I just had my intermediate bearings installed as well and have a groove that comes out from the center oil hole. Is that groove intended to aim at the gear cavity for lubrication? I had it pressed in and it is now in the opposite direction of that cavity.

This is on a 91' 1.6 TD

Thanks!

Partially unrelated to this thread but the AAZ intermiediate shaft spins faster then 1/2 crank speed because it is a smaller diameter.
