Title: AAZ turbo oil feed line replacement
Post by: haybayian on April 11, 2010, 12:44:54 pm
Hello IDI TDI friends,
When I put back together my rebuilt 1993  1.9 turbo VW  the local dealer sold me a solid oil line  to feed the turbo. It has a banjo fitting at the lower end and something like M12 fitting at the turbo end.  Because of various mods I have introduced in this project the VW rigid oil line does not fit and I would like to replace it with a  longer braided flexible line. My question to you is: is there any downside in doing this. My second question is where do you suggest I call to acquire such a flexible line (I live in Ontario).

Thanks

Haybayian

You could call me. I have one. It's for a mk2 though so you would need an adapter at the oil filter flange

Thanks for the reply, I am not familiar with the mk2. Could you post a picture of the oil filter flange  or describe the adapter you are refering to.

The thread pitch and diameter are different. The mk3 is the same as a wheel lug and the mk2 one is m12x1.5
