Title: Newbie Looking For Ideas-How to Increase Performance and Mileage MK2 Jetta td

This is my first diesel i know a little bit about diesels.... I know on the "dodge rams"when you add hp you usually gain mpg.  my car is a 1985 jetta td.  it's a daily driver/commuter just looking for ideas on how to increase power and mileage.  If you have any ideas please let me know.   ;D

A bigger and more free flowing exhaust and intake will allow you to turn the fuel up with out a rise in Exhaust Gas Temps (which are bad).
