Title: governor question
Post by: smoken u on March 14, 2010, 07:19:07 pm
ok so i just did the 2010 edition of the governor mod, was actually fairly easy lol th hardest part was getting all the springs on the throttle plate properly adjusted, bu i have a small problem after doing the mod i seem to have no throttle, just idle, starts fine an idles fine, but thats all it does, i did shim the MAIN SPRING 3.5mm as outlined in the guid just wondering if maybe anyone has anyideas as to what may have gone wrong??

pushing the pedal does not rev the engine? is the cable attached on the pump? (gotta ask lol)

I think when this happens, you may have gotten the throttle lever on the wrong splines of the shaft.

thank you Mr libbybapa, that was exactly the problem, I had to play around with the idle a bit, but i got it right finally. there is definanlty a HUGE power difference, before when it started to rev over 3000 rpm the car would just "nose over" or stiop acclerating, now it just keeps pulling, past 3000 rpm, its awesome :)
