Title: The dyno run picture thread
Post by: burn_your_money on November 16, 2009, 09:38:33 am
I know there are a lot of different dyno sheets on the forum but they are scattered all over the place. If everyone that has one could post it here along with a brief description of what you have done to the engine that would be swell. TDI, TD, NA and anything else you might have :) VW Diesel engines only please.

1V ECO diesel with nothing but the following changes:

 - Passat 1.6TD intercooler mounter on top of gearbox (not a lot of airflow)
 - Boost pressure adjusted to 1,1bar = 16 psi
 - Fueling and idle adjusted

Results at the hubs (Dynapack):
 - 91.7hp @ 4112rpm
 - 182.1Nm = 246.9ft-lbs @ 2890rpm

Lots more to come ;)

1984 Jetta Deluxe 1.6 IDI na
200K+ miles (estimated, odo had stopped for a couple years before I got it)
Stock pump (I think...), recently resealed by me
Stock intake and filter
Stock exhaust
Ran in 4th gear with 7A transmission
Shell ULSD w/ a few oz's of Stanadyne treatment
Difference in runs: first run (lowest), fuel screw set to almost no smoke at WOT, second turned in 1/8th, third another 8th and lots of smoke at WOT.

I don't have a dyno sheet for the full view of TQ and HP, but have the end result.
Running 30PSI of boost to 6K RPM.

This was the first run, stock boost at 10-11PSI.

Its cool what boost can do.

Nice hp  8)  Whats your setup, torque seems low? A big turbo that starts to choke upper rpm at 30psi? Could you get dyno sheet, always intresting to compare  :)

Here's my latest. Had to get a dyno sheet for MOT, so there is't everything. Later I found that timing was set at 0.60mm, maybe that had something to do with upper rpm range ::) I should go again, but 4wd dynos are not that common here.

1,9NA, KKK14-2 (MB om606) with AFN exhaust manifold, some porting in head, custom mech cam with rosten valvesprings and 10mm pump.

It was at 1,5 bar. IŽm expecting ~200hp (crank), but weŽll see.
