the jetta has been running great ever since i did the head a while back however... i went to start it tonight to go for a drive and i started fine but then after ideling for a min it started to put out alot of white smoke that smelled like diesel. the timing is all in line (pump cam crank) and none of the lifters have any damage ???. any thoughts as to whats going on?

Does it sound like it's missing or sound different? Maybe water or air in the fuel lines/filter?

Did you take it for a drive to see what happens?
