Title: 1.6 Inj. Pump - NA vs. Eco
Post by: EcoMod on December 07, 2008, 07:07:35 am
So what puts out more fuel? a MK2 NA pump or an Eco Pump?
I have heard so much negative stuff about the Eco Pump and getting Performance out of them.....
Thanks!!

they're pretty much the same.  eco pump might put out *slightly* more fuel, but i doubt it.

The ECO will put out LESS fuel due to it having an 8mm plunger as opposed to the 9mm plunger in the non-turbo pump.

I think this is why I had a question about the two pumps. The Eco pump has a smaller plunger with a very slight boost enrichment?

Also, it is almost worthless to send a Eco pump to Giles, when so many parts on an Eco would have to be changed to get it to the N/A output.

Thanks! I am buying a NA pump very soon. 8)

I guess I was thinking the TD pumps are hard to find plus people think they are gold and want 350-450 for them. I would Def. want a TD pump over a NA, but I was thinking about the pricing.

What do stock, used TD pumps go for?
