alright lads im looking for a turbo for my mk2 equipped aaz.
ive been reading on this site for ages and decided to join
basically what turbo should i go for and
what vehicles do i get the turbo out of.
i want to make it go faster :D

Depends on how much work you are going to put into it. If you want to have a more versatile powerband then a VNT would be great but you would need to make a controller.
If you want something simple than go wastegate. If you don't want to do much work you will need to find a turbo that matches the exhaust manifold flange. It's got the four bolt trapezoidal flange.
Easiest upgrade for modest boost increase at higher rpm: T3 or k24 from a Mk2 diesel.

when you say waste gate, where is it located and what do i do to it?
a t3 or k24 from a mk2? is this a standard turbo
i presume i can just cut a bit off the boost pin from other posts?
would i need to intercool it?

You're going to have to do a lot of background reading before you change anything. By wastegate, I mean a turbo with a wastegate. Wastegated turbos are oem on the IDI's and early TDI's. I imagine you would have a K14 on your AAZ stock.
If you just want to bump up the power a bit read the Making your 1.9 faster FAQ thread. If you are after more power after doing those changes you could swap on a T3 or K24 turbo to run a little higher boost at higher rpms although some people prefer the k14 for it's low rpm spool up.
