Title: problem with the water pump outlets interfearing....
Post by: allsierra123 on October 27, 2008, 12:06:04 pm
My water pump outlets seam to be interfearing with my aluminum motor  brackets. Anyone else have that problem with an aaz going int a vanagon? I havent read anything about it or found anything on it. But the two outlets are just about right up against the mount and the only way I could get the mount on was to remove the little elbow with the snap fitting on it. Did the 1.6 have a different style water pump that the aaz with the A/C and PS?

You need the thermostat cover from a T3 Diesel.
I'm fairly sure the part crosses over to a Polo part too, it starts in 055 I seem to remember.
The AAZ one doesn't fit.
They are only cheap here, if you get stuck give us a nod and I'll see about sending one out for you.
I'm in the new premises now, light at the end of the tunnel!

Part number
030 121 121 B

Part number spotters will recognise the 030 part being 1.05 to 1.3l engines, but it was fitted to allsorts

Caddy 97-01
Golf/Jetta 86-92
Polo 82-92
Vento 92-95

If your still struggling I will see howmany people on the aftermarket make it.

Just looked, still available from VW.
Also sold by febi, Meyle,Swap, Hans Preis (Topran) Vaico (Vemo), JP group, Automega, Birth.

Now surely you must have a part place near you that deals with one of those companies?

As it happens a rep came to see me today, I ordered a couple in as it's not the first time I've been asked for them.
I should have them in a week or so.
if you don't have any luck let us know and I'll get one in the post for you.
Did you sort a list out of other stuff?

In the US, the Passat B1 (dasher), Fox, Audi Fox, and 4cyl Audi 4k have the correct one for a Vanagon/T3.
