What is the little canister On the passeger side of the aaz block. That has a shaft going into the block it self and A vacuum line coming off of it with a check valve on it. And next question do I need it and How do I go about getting rid of it?
-
that's your vacuum pump....why do you wanna ditch it?
-
Well Im not sure I actually need it. Havent found a use for it yet. Maybe im missing something That needs to be hooked up to it.
-
It *should* be connected to your brake booster....
-
HAHA I knew there was something I was missing. LOL. Thanks for reminding me It would have made stopping much harder.
-
I'm no vanagon expert but it should control your heater vent controls too??
and cruise control if vanagons have that?
put a ABS set-up in it and you wont need any Vacuum
the only thing my GLI needs is vacuum for the cruise and heater controls....

No Abs Heat Is totally stand alone All I would have is the Power breaks. I do remember Disconnecting that line now. Thanks for reminding me. What is the check valve for?
