Title: Where can I find a new/rebuilt 1.9TD AAZ?

I am trying to upgrade the 1.6d in my '82 vanagon to an AAZ but am having a hard time finding any information on where to actually get one.  Does anyone know of a company that either imports them or rebuilds them?  I noticed the Tiico does do it, but they want $6,500!!!  To me, that seems like a little bit much...  I'm located in Portland, OR, thanks in advance.

There is a guy on ebay that sells them, supposidly from Germany.

They are hard to find in good used shape due to the crank pulley issue.

Search is your friend.

Apparently the new ones on ebay have the tdi style crank snout already. That's a good source if you have the money.

Parts place has them,i believe.
