This is the boost controller I bought. Ebay special.

Gauge only reads 10psi right now and thats under full load on the highway. Surely I can go higher than that with a T3.
Can someone help me with the install? I know I can search, but I did and never found anything for sure.
Does the t-fitting go on the line going from the LDA to the turbo? If so, and I run 1 rubber line off that fitting and into the valve controller(arrow in). Where would the other fitting on the controller unit go to? If someone has a diagram or something it would be great.

the tee in between the high pressure line that goes to you wastegate. then one end of the flow control valve goes to the tee and the other bleeds air to atmosphere. once you install the boost controller you will notice that your min boost is no 15 psi rather than 10 psi

ok. It is not as easy as I had thought it would be. That line I tap into is metal and very hard to access. Plus, looking down there I see pools of black oil everywhere. Is that normal? :lol:

is it safe to do this if I have oil all over my turbo? I plan to have it rebuilt, but also, the controller is begging to be installed :cry:

You should still be able to install it, just don't vent it inside as oily air may come out the tube.

The car actually doesn't use much oil. I put in about 1/4 liter after about 600km of city driving. And I drive the car hard a lot of the time and I know that uses oil.
Maybe a stupid question, but will added PSI cause additional wear to the turbo? I know the engine can handle it just fine, but I don't want my turbo to get too far gone before the rebuild.

I'm been running 25 psi boost for 2 years with a turbo that has over 400K miles on it. But the oil was changed every 2500 - 3000 miles. It has almost zero shaft play. She's passing a little oil on the exauste side. Probably coked up seals. But not too shabby other wise. I'm planning on throwing a rebuild at it this spring as a reward for fathfull service.
Turbos will last a long time if they're feed the right oil and its clean
If your turbo is in good shape, and it getting clean oil of the right grade, more boost is no problem.

ok. I see a rubber hose about 1.5" long. Is that good to tap the T-connector into? Its a bit hard to get at but I think it looks doable.
