if i directly connect 12v to them they work but not when i turn the key i can hear the (new)relay clicking in and out but there not getting hot!!!!!
the red and white wire in the back off the fuse board i dont know if its pluged in right its in the top left corner. there is a sapre plug at the back off where the relay sits is this right?

follow the glowplug wire in the engine bay to the black box on the firewall, there is a 50a (or 60a I forget) amp fuse in there. If that is fine try removing the coolant temp sensor wire and then using the key, it may be reading that the engine is warm enough to not need glow plugs

wow!!! simple
-
problem solved?
-
i carry a spare one of these fuses in my glove box, they tend to blow at the worst times, stupid things are like $4 each at the dealer.
-
fuse was fine!!!!
its the sensors (all off em) i dc'd

Where is this temp sensor?
on a GTD 1.6?
-
I'm not positive about the GTDs but on the north american ones it's 1 of the 2 on the coolant flanges on the head, usually between cylinders #3 and #4
-
its a 1.6 n/a
theres 3 sensors one on flange(between 3 and 4) one on pipe out for heater matrix and one next to it on end off block no idea which are which or wat cable goes where
