Title: no vacumm on injector pump

on my 81 vw diesel caddy ...it set for about 6 months and now i have no vacumm coming from the injector pump...it wont pull any fuel from the tank...i have cleaned both fuel lines and still nothing..i put a vacumm gauge on the pump and no vacumm..any ideas on a cheap fix?

Add a lift pump.  Run it for a while that way.  Remove the lift pump and see if it is cured.

Anything putting out a fairly high flow rate which you can draw fuel through when not operating will work. There are quite a few Facet Posi-Flow pumps which are suitable. Keep the pressure below 10 PSI or you may end up with leaks at the pump shaft.

huh, cause on mine they will no longer prime theirselves, so i prime in line; pull off fuel filter, and manually prime, if needed it keeps/gets me going.

If everything is  moving right there should be NO vacuum at the front of the pump.
Got clear fuel lines?
