So, my friend was going to help me swap the stock 4-speed in my '81 Dasher Diesel with a Quantum TD 5-speed. But then as he started working on it realized that the mounts are totally different and that he was getting in over his head and also doesn't have enough time for the project now.
My mechanical experience is very limited, though I try to keep knowledgable about the things I don't know how to do and I live in an apartment.
So, I'm wondering if there's anyone in Oregon or Washington who might be able to help me out with this project.
I can't really offer much money (my friend was gonna do it for free), but I could give you my old 4-speed, which is in good shape, and a Quantum instrument cluster, and maybe clean your house or something while you work on my car.
