Thanks
Is that cherished car type insurance?

Drove 'Granny's GTD down to Bristol airport. It goes well; but there's something about it that makes me want to stick to a mk2 Passat estate. Maybe I feel safer in a long car  Maybe its the gearbox?

Who's that insurance with, it's really cheap? My girlfriend just inherited a 2l vetra to learn to drive in and got insured for £500 on provisional licence compared with 400 for me. 8+ years experience, no crashes/points and 2 years NCD is worth 100 quid off!

Also what did that turbo come off? I swear the one on my GTD has coolant pipes attached to it too, tho i may be wrong. Did they change the design at any point?

Alright lads, the insurance is classic policy, its a good deal, with Footman James, cradley heath    2 mins from my house
My jetta GTD has a garrett T2 water cooled on it,its a 1990 H reg,the turbo on the mk1 is off a 1986 golf 1.6TD engine code JR,its a garrett T3,and is well suited to an AAZ,i have set the timing today to 1.0mm from 0.85 and its slightly quicker and runs smoother,i changed the thrust bearing in the rear of the box,put new gearbox oil in,fitted my new injector steel lines, changed oil again, and now its sorted,
