What are the numbers for 1.9TD/AAZ?
Since it's been asked several times lately...
11mm headbolts, for the early 1.6 engines and the 1.5 diesels, are replaced with studs from ARP with the part # 204-4701.
Add the 1.9 to that list.
The oil pump bolts are direct replacement for the bolts out of my pump. I do not know if these are the same size as the newer 36mm pump people are talking about here on the site. Anyone know if the 36mm uses different size bolts?
Oil pump bolts.......................661-1014These
DO NOT fit the 36mm
vanagon oil pump on a 1.6TD (1V) block. They are about a 1/4" too long.
I don't know if this is the right place to ask the question so Mods feel free to move if necessary.
Strech bolts will compensate, up to a point, the heating and cooling of the engine so the established torque is maintained. What goes on with the studs (ARP in this case)? They need to be torqued at engine build time then 1000 kms after but what about later? Is there need to to do a check up every 10K kms or more ?
Need to know part # or some bolt that could be used for 1.9L aaz connecting rod bolt. They are a turned bolt, not pressed in like the 1.6 bolts, and they do not have nuts they thread into the connecting rod. Anyone please let me know, or I will just get some Unbrako from work.
