How is spooling between the different sizes of variable vanes? Like I said, I do want fast spooling, so what is too big? I had a k14 on it, so if you can use it for comparison, that would help. Thanks
poke a k03-003 on it. it was the stock turbo for late AAZ, and spools very quickly.
Flipping the turbo with a spacer looks like it would work, depending on your engine bay though
Are there any other starter options? IE a smaller starter

I don't think any other starter would help as it would have to be a hell of a lot smaller. Maybe flipping it with a spacer would work. Then I started thinking that maybe a homemade intake would help as it would be easier than making something for the exhaust. Too bad I screwed up my back at work today as I can't even stand up straight. Guess it will have to wait. Flipping it would work better for the exhaust than the k14. I had to make a really tight bend for it to fit, and even then it was close to the starter, the firewall, the wiring harness and the fuel and brake lines. Plus access to the flange bolts would be way easier.
