Thanks for all the info.

So it is possible to put the LDA on that pump then? if i could find one.
Complete pumps are pricey though right?

Not that it matters now though, its gunna be off the road for a while

CRACKED CYLINDER HEAD :( but hopefully found a replacement. :D with new everything fitted :D

Chris

ouch sorry to hear :(

one thing.  if you do decide to put the LDA on the pump, be sure to have a CLEAN area to work.  do NOT get any dirt inside the pump!!! this is why people tell other people not to do it themselves.  any dirt here can result in extra money spent and lots of frustrations, or you might get lucky and its not a big deal, but its a risk...

your best bet is to find someone with a leaking TD pump that they will get rid of for around $100-150.  get yourself a TD seal kit and while your at it just take apart your pump and change whatever seals you can.  always take note of everything and take pictures if you can.  they may save you a lot of frustrations later.  you may even want to scribe certain parts for positioning (with some sort of marker).  also be prepared to be without the pump for a few days.  don't expect to tackle it in a day and be finished.

at least with someone else doing the pump you have some recourse if it wasn't done properly

good luck :)
