get a performance cam from passengerdiesel.....swapping oem ones not worth the trouble.  

In regards to the 1.9 idi head on a 1.6 block.   A 1.9 head will lower the compression...but using 1.7 pistons will give you back 1 full point in compression and the pistons have the oil squitter reliefs in them.

Like I said it is no trouble I'm doing new lifters on the next TB anyway, so my question remains are there any gains to be had.  Can someone directly answer this specific question please.  If I had $350 to spend on a cam I would buy one of passengers, maybe.
Waiting for a bigger better diesel to come along.
