I just talked to Giles again last night about a few things...like everyone says, he's a great person to deal with. He appears to be very patient with knuckleheads like me AND a true enthusiast who loves modding pumps.
Took a friend for a ride in the caddy with the Giles pump last night. He's an area tuner that helped me do the IC install and the V6 TDI project. It was wet, so there was a bit of wheelspin going on! He couldn't believe how it revs out.
He really liked the improvement of the Giles pump and said that he thought it was definitely quicker than a 16V gasser Golf and that it might even keep up with his BMW 325 E30. I don't street race and didn't build the car for that purpose, but it is more entertaining to drive than ever.
There are more pics in my thread about the intercooler, but since you asked, here's another pic of the IC install before we put the radiator back. I hate how the engine bay looks so dirty... doesn't look that bad in person. I'm going to have to find something to clean up that grunge short of repainting the bay...
