I just did this update as well. Besides saving the crank nose it also stops the belt flop for the serpentine belt. I had a brand new tensioner and roller in mine and the belt was pretty sloppy, as soon as I put in the clutched pulley there is zero flop now and runs much smoother.
Glad I read this as it was exactly my hope after doing the upgrade....
I'll report back!

Changed the pulley on Friday before changing out water pump, ps pump, ballancer and all pulleys to address other problems. Took before and after videos, posted on youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2vvVPd9YCkThe difference is remarkable (IMHO). The only thing I did is install the overrun pulley. I think it was worth the investment for sure! Thanks Settings for the use of the tool!!!

Um, does anyone else notice that the crank pully is wobbling.
The clutched pully looks like a better option for the AAZ.

I did! That came after the alternator pulley. I am preparing a post in the IDI section with follow up.

Great videos. I had similar results with mine.
Well worth the increased peace of mind.
Recently I also change the pulley in my golf aaz, and I am very contented with this fact. The engine runs much clear, and the micro belt stops floping at low rpm's. Part that I used was manufactured by Magneti Marelli.
