Witch Shaft you use for your 1.9 mTDI

Hello folks

I want to build a pump for my 1.9 mtdi AFN heading 180hp+++

I have two pumps from Ducato/Iveco with direct injection :

A - 0 460 414 067 (engine SOFIM 2.5D   8140.07.2700 DI 55kw)
B - 0 460 414 008 (engine SOFIM 2.5TD 8144.21.220   DI 77 kw)

both pumps are 11mm and they have different SHAFT and different Camplate.

Which one please should I choose for my Setup ?

C - 0 460 424 124 (engine SOFIM 2.8TD 8140.07.2700 DI 76kw)

I compared the Governor shaft and Fulcrum lever from the pump C to pump A :







Which Governor shaft and Fulcrum lever is best for this setup please ?

The governor parts for A is better as it allows for load-dependent timing advance but the case needs to have the correct channel machined into it.  If you can use the A case, that's good.

Please apology for my misunderstanding libbydiesel, should I use in both case Fulcrum lever & Governor shaft from pump A ? Or only Fulcrum lever from A ?

IMO, all the parts labeled A in this whole thread are better than the parts labeled B or C.  You should also use the case from A.

And for the Camplate please, I have 3 choices :

DE604 from pump A:


DE356 from Pump B:


DE185 from Pump D (0 460 414 983 - Renault Laguna / Megane 1.9TDI 72kw):


And please should I remove the COMPRESSION SPRING between Camplate and Cross Disk ?

A and B look similar enough not to make much difference.  Can't say about D without seeing the side profile.  I'm not sure why some pumps have that center spring and some don't.

I mounted the spring one day with a DE110 camplate and the pump broke after 40km. When I opened the pump I found the spring in pieces but I don't know why 

If you can use the A case, that's good.

Please what do you mean by "pump case" please ? is this the body (core) of the pump? If yes, I have a body from a Peugeot pump code: 0 469 494 412 with 20mm drive shaft, is that good ?

For the governorweight I have this model :


I saw some guys using only 2 elements like in this picture, to get more fuel at hight RPM :


It would be better if i use 2 of them or just keep the 4 elements like original ?

I have not personally tried using two weights for the governor so I cannot really give a recommendation there.  I also tend to drive with rpms fairly moderate (I don't usually see >4,000 rpms) so that doesn't really come into play.

Hello libbydiesel !

I just assembled the bottom of the pump. So finally, I used :

- The core from Peugeot 306 XUD 1.9TD with 20mm drive shaft.
- Camplate DE110 from ALH MK4 pump and removed that spring.
- 12mm head (I want max RPM 5000rpm).
- Governor parts from Pump "A".
- Only 2 governorweight.
- Modified LDA as in pictures bellow.









Tomorrow I will finish the work and perhaps mount it this week end. I will keep up the thread.
