LR Pump Innards into a MK4 Housing?
« on: October 09, 2023, 10:47:28 am »
Hello,

I have found myself in a situation whereby I have a cracked LR pump (on the housing where the timing pin is inserted) and a MK4 pump that had gasoline run through it. Can I just take the innards from the LR pump and install them in the MK4 case? Can I swap the electronic LDA on the mk4 pump with the mechanical one on the LR?

Thank you,
Justin

I think the TDI pumps have a different way of governing.
The LR pump is machined for the flyweights type governor.
