Just purchased a new cluster with tach for my 1989 jetta my car came with a clock. Is there other parts I need to make the tach work or will it just plug in.
has anyone done this?

The tach is diesel from a golf of the same year I believe.

Not 100% on non UK cars but it should just plug and play.

Plug and play.
You should already have a wire coming from pin W on your alternator.
