I found a 02j gearbox (EWZ from a ibiza tdi 110) little less longer than the ASD i want first, but it's ok. I have one question, can i put a gearbox lever with cable from a 6 speed gearbox, or they are not the same (6 speed gearbox are less expensive than the 5speed ones, don't know why).
I believe the 6 speed is different at transmission end.
Best idea is to find a Mk4 style shift box from a Polo and use an 02J shift tower and cables. It'll fit in the Mk3 tunnel but you can use the much more readily available Mk4 cables / cable ends / upgrade parts.

Little update, i got a Hx27W for free with a 5cm² turbine housing, so i think i will use it, with a super short tubing 2.5", AWIC, and modified 1Y (1.9D) intake manifold.
I would like to mod the pump more ( I already have gov mod, 0.95 timing, maxed fuel screw and lda mod)... i think of 10mm head but don't know haw to calibrate the dynamic advance... any idea ?
i think about porting head too, will see
