New axles

(1/1)

srgtlord:
I'm getting tired of receiving crappie rebuilt axles from Napa. I need some suggestions for NEW not rebuilt axles. Empi? FEQ? GKN/Loebro? I want something to last more than 3 years/ 100,000 miles

ORCoaster:
Good luck on finding someone who will stand behind their product for more time than 3 yrs.  I at one time had a source that gave me a lifetime warranty on my Subaru axles and I ended up returning three of them to him over the course of 3 years.  But now I think he is out of business.

air-cooled or diesel:
im still on my 1st set of napa axles, for 2 cars, they have lasted good for me, esp.for the price!!, listen to your self 100k miles?? you want axles to last for that long, aftermarket??where, cause theyre not going to be affordable,, good axles will last what? 60k-80k? not bad.

air-cooled or diesel:
i found out by buying axle boots, theyre like $18 each, thats about $40 an axle right there, the whole axle doesnt cost that much more,,and thats w/o replacement outer cv, and grease, and all the work, removal, disassembly, clean-up,reassemble(correctly), re-boot, and reinstall, wheew thats some work, instead install a whole 'new' axle. for cheap too, and mine work good, for a good while.

vanbcguy:
If you plan to put a lot of miles on them you can't beat new joints on OEM axles. Or even a regreased set of VW axles from a wrecker. The aftermarket stuff is all pretty poor.
