Gil Younger has an SK kit for the 01M. Anybody have any experience with them? His other SK kits are PFM. His SK-200 will make a TH-200 live past 50K miles and actually shift right. I will order a couple for the two 01Ms in the family.

His SK kits are designed for transmission shops to install during a rebuild. They cure what is really wrong with the design of this fragile late model crap. They are not an add-on to improve shifting, although they often do. Some times he wants you to check for casting flaws in certain spots or draw file the case in a certain spot.

Read CoolAirVW's postings on TDIclub. A lot of the issues sound like they are caused by the crap metal the valve body was built out of wearing out, the TransGo kit won't fix that directly but it may help with other stuff.
