Sorry for the dumb questions but this is my first turbo diesel. Is 10 - 12 lbs low?  I thought a 1.6td ran more than that stock and I have an upgraded turbo and pump.

With out you giving some specs, shots in the dark is what you are going to get for answers.

Wastegate? MBC? Kind of turbo upgrade?

Thats about what my stock 1.6td motors do with the blowoff valve, with t3 and k24 turbos as far as peak, which I think is by design.

I do most of my driving on the freeway.

Steady I don't get 10 unless I'm cruising with hills and/or wind, and it can easily max out.

If I travel on flat land and just chill out going about 74mph, close to 3000 rpms I will get less than 10, maybe closer to 5.

Yup, sounds stock.  So you upgraded your pump and turbo?  Can we get some info on what you did? 

Did you retain or delete your stock intake-mounted 'blow-off' valve, because that dumps at about the pressure you specified.
