Grr. That is one thing nice about modern electronics. My dad just bought a little electronic box deal for his motorcycle so be can get  the speed signal to match actual road speed.
Adjust a potentiometer.  I think years and years ago someone made a little box for American cars that was a gearbox and you attached it inline with your speedo cable and you could play with little gears and alter the speed that way and make your speedo read correct.
I'd like to do something cause mine reads way fast. I did a 200 mile trip and I read probably 250 miles.
Well indacated 60 is actual 50 is pretty bad.  I'd haveta sit here and think is any of the stock Vw drive gears would be closer to something accurate.
