Breather Size???
« on: March 18, 2013, 08:35:50 am »
I am planning on putting a catch can on my 1981 1.6N/A, also plan on turbocharging with a different valve cover in future.

1)   What is the size of the breather hose orifice that comes off of the stock valve cover?
2)   What is the size of the orifice that comes off of the top of the intake manifold?
3)   What is the size of the orifice that comes off of the top of the g60 manifold?

Thanks:)

Yes, he's asking us to measure them.
 I think stock 1.6NA PCV hose is 5/8", 16mm.
I'm not sure on the G60.
The 8V MK2 valve covers are my choice for TD engines, with a MK3 puck that uses 3/4" hose,.. same as 1.6 TD puck to turbo intake hose I think.

Possibly because it is pointless to buy parts for the sole purpose of  determining that they don't fit together.
