or at least it kinda looks that way.
is this from getting hot (like i held the GP button too long,) or a dribbling fuel injector anyone?
86' 6.9L IDI gp's.

I am going with dribbling injector. Seems to focused to be overall overheat trouble.

i would say injectors, but i also had one that would run away on its own oil and after it would run away it would burn up all the glow plugs, but that was usually more violent, like just a little nub was left.

Ether will beat the hell out of the glowplugs just like that. Often it takes the ends right off.

have you ever startd this engine on ether?
now that toby brings it up, i would almost lean towards that..
or HORRIBLE INJECTORS..

I think it was crazy autolite glow plugs. They are very well known for going to *** on their first use.
But that engine has seen a lot of ether
