Exhaust Manifold?
« on: August 03, 2012, 09:12:43 pm »
How much more exhaust flow does the AEG manifold, ABA manifold, and the early 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, have over the standard 1.6N/A toilet bowl exhaust manifold????

Which manifold would be best, the AEG, ABA, or the early 4-2-1???

Will I feel a difference with any of the upgraded exhaust manifolds???

Standard 1.6 NA toilet bowl actually has a 2.5" opening within it. It is by far non-restrictive. It is the 1.5" exhaust system with a cat, resonator and two mufflers that follows that is restrictive ;)

2" straight back to one free-ish flowing muffler will give you all the flow you could ever ask for on a 1.6 NA. Without having to mess around with those pesky exhaust studs.

across the pond.. they made a twin downpipe for the desel manifold... usa had a similer one on gas 83 caddy.. but not as long for use with a cat.... euro long like the "6 bolt euro twin" one... caddy used egr so diesel manifolds due to no o2 sensor.

im going to make one next time i need to do a downpipe... for a na...
