Kaynohtees Extended Cab Mk1
« on: May 22, 2012, 08:36:28 pm »
Here is my Rabbit.

Most of what you see started with:

"Hey, you know what would be cool?"

and ended with:

"It seemed like a good idea at them time"

I'd like to share more pics, but it seems that six is the limit.  Sorry about the small format, I had to scale them from 1.5 mb down to under 256kb and this is what I ended up with.

Restoring a Caddy as time and weather allows

Stretchhhhh Caddy.  How nice.  Great for us over 6 footers.  It is the only thing that keeps me from getting one.  I just didn't fit in it and with a long drive everytime I do I had to stick with the Rabbit.

Nicely done by the way.

intriguing, did you lengthen the whole caddy? It doesn't look like you just moved the bulkhead back into the bed
Very cool anyway, and the GT500 stripes work better than i expected
Mid Engine

It started as two rabbits,  a 3 door and a caddy, so it benefits from the long doors and about 18 inches behind the jetta seats (obviously re-upholsteted)

I absolutely love this truck. If you ever want to trade for a "stock" version, just let me know.

its cool, but it needs bobbed in the worst of ways..

or to be lifted..

if it had some 31" tires, and 4x4, it would be perfect ;)

still a cool/clean ride tho!

Thanks stewardc, I would consider a trade, for a like factory new stock w/ diesel.

ROR: I'm not sure that 31s would help my 48mpg much, besides if I lifted it and put 20s under it it would look like a monster truck.

Not seriously  ;) , but you do have a unique and beautiful truck, and if you ever think of parting with it, I'd appreciate a chance to make an offer.

Oh, just a suggestion. It looks naked without a front bumper. Put sonething on there before some schmuck ruins all that pristine front sheet metal.

My thoughts exactly Stewardc, Europeans would be good and fill the little lights with something other than turn signals.  HID

Once again, we agree. Bumperless might be nice in some situations, but not on a vehicle in traffic. That's just suicide.
