On my '94 it seems to keep its oil at the turbo (able to drive right away without the turbo scraping/screeching sound) but my '97 takes a minute for the oil to reach the turbo, other wise it screeches. Is there a check valve? Should there be one? Thoughts?
That's just never a good idea, ever. The 97 literally takes one whole minute to gain sufficient oil pressure to the turbo? Are you running SAE 85w gear oil as motor oil?

I did notice it took less time for the '97 turbo to be operational on Rotella 0-40.
if your turbo is ever scraping, its f*Ked
Funny that it still produces boost (15 PSI). The turbo on the '97 is a T3 if it matters. Should there be oil in the oil feed line near the turbo or does the oil fall back into the oil pan? Make me wonder if there is coke build up in the feed line or their return line is clogged.
