Man that's some hot exhaust, I would've been a nervous wreck letting it get that high! None of my stuff is coated though.
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

Never said I wasn't nervous.....   ::)  I would have felt a lot better if I had the intercooler set up.  I'm giving the car a break and driving the Audi to work for a while.

I actually was more worried about the turbo overspooling, thankfully I don't think I have enough fuel to spin it too awfully fast...

Everyone keeps saying this, but this is exactly the opposite of what happens.  The free flow of a wide open duct vs. restricted duct in the compressor circuit makes it more efficient - thus MORE load on the compressor (it is pumping more mass of air) thus slowing it down.  Also, the reduced mass of air flowing OUT of the exhaust means the exhaust turbine is producing a lot less power - so to make up for it, you throw a lot more fuel at it thus the hotter air (expanding more) - but with less mass, so less turbine shaft torque.  BTW: if you don't think that the mass of air going through the cylinder doesn't make a big difference?  Try throwing the Jake brake on in a class 8 truck going down hill - and watch the boost guage climb and listen to the turbo spool up - all with little to NO fuel being injected.
