Where do these 2 pieces go?
« on: October 16, 2010, 05:29:06 pm »
I've had the front clip off for 2 months waiting to find an AC condenser that would fit. Finally putting it back together but can't remember where these 2 pieces of plastic trims go. Anyone have a diagram or know where they go?

ps, I've ordered a condenser from German Autoparts and Autohausaz and nither one fits (bottom studs in the wrong place). I could have modifed it but didn't want to screw up a $150 part if I messed up. Finally found a new condenser for $40 shipped and didn't think twice about modifiying it at that price. It's in and fits fine.

On each side of the radiator, in front of it.

Thanks! Got them back in. I put the top clip back in but forgot to hook up the hood release cable and closed the hood dooh! Any tips getting the hood open? I felt around under there (front grill off) and pushed on the hook and levers with my fingers but it didn't pop.

You might be able to get some needle nose pliers in there. Or take off the grill if you can and then get to it.

I usually stick a long screwdriver through the grill and press on the release lever.
