I put 'em in wet...using the same oil I'm going to fill the crankcase with for the first 5 minutes.
IMHO...they are going to get oiled as soon as the engine establishes oil pressure, and I find on these tight bores that they need all the help they can get to slide in nicely without snagging and... er.. breaking. BTDT.
