Cheap Cooling Hoses???
« on: February 13, 2010, 09:45:50 am »
Hi,
Here is a tip. I bought a new cooling hose for mt TD upgrade from the 'P' guy. Here is what it looks like just 1 year later after it started leaking. Now I have a good German hose. Down with Chinese junk!!

The pic don't work :P
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

It's awfully big but here you go... you need to surround the image URL with the img tag like this (extra spaces put in so that the server will not recognize the actual tag):

[ I M G ] http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/6444/hose001.jpg [/ I M G ]

BTW:  Was there any diesel fuel dripping on that hose?

The hose above has been replaced with a three piece type using a plastic t fitting

I could of done these three lines in molded silicone, but I dont think anyone here will pay 225.00 for three assys

AAZ HOSES LISTED BELOW

two coolant assys

037 122 058 15.96
WATER PIPE TO OIL COOLER
028 121 053 Q 18.88
PUMP TO HEAD TO OIL COOLER

coolant hardline to recovery tank.1H0 121 109R 8.35

Sorry
