I DO! electronics, it's my thing "along with H/V tesla coils" so a VNT controller shouldn't be that difficult

you know, decarbonated beer is a better coolant than the stuff you buy at the auto store, and is better for you...... really

has bad seals and needs a rebuild "can't for the life of me get the darn thing apart"  other than that has no shaft play, just leaks on the exhaust side.  I tested it with a shop vac and some wd-40 in the oil journal "cleaned all of the gunk outta there pretty darned good it did"  I want to send it to gpopshop but they are dman exspensive I want to just do a rebuild and get them to balance it for me.  Maybe do a port job "those are a PITA"  any thoughts on this thing?  not a vnt but some here favor away from the vnt route.

the VNT route is the way to go if you want to complicate things and have to possibly build an electronic controller. a normal turbo requires no other modification really. just pipe exhaust into it, and pipe the boost into the engine, voila. you can use a VNT for an exhaust brake also. theres lots of high points with a VNT turbo, its just damn hard to make them work right on an engine that has no setup for running any electronics.

besides, that tiny little turbo you got might do just fine. probably not gonna build no 30 psi, but its a start in the right direction.
