The discoloration you see is from being partially bead blasted to try and get off the stupid stickers that come on the u and j bends I buy. These downpipes are bolt on and ready to go.

I find WD-40 is helpful in getting the stickers off and doesn't hurt the aluminized coating.

Thats exactly what I use, I just wanted to blast the stuff off of there cause I was already blasting some other parts.

when do you expect to have the Mk3 1.9 version done. Or, where I'm planning to put a kkk24 on my 1.9, should I use the Mk2 version?

I went from a MK2 Jetta TD to a MK3 Golf TD and the complete exhaust system from the MK2 bolted right on the MK3 with the exact same fitment & clearances.
However, both vehicles have 1.6s... the header on a 1.9 block may be posititioned higher. Anyway there's a MK3 1.9 TD that's local and wants to come in for GTD injector nozzles so Passenger could fabricate a downpipe then.

If your other customer doesn't come through, PM me, I'm in Burnaby and have a 1.9.
I notice you don't have a flex joint on the pipe as the stocker does. Do you forsee any problems with a rigid setup?
