What turbo are you going with ?
If it's a K03 , I would like to send you two fittings to replace the banjo on the block and a adapter on the turbo.. AN-8 FLARE ADAPTER TO 90 DEGREE AN -8 FLARE
Then advise me the distance between the flares so I can have a hose ready to go for this mod...
let me know , I would be happy to send you a gasket for the intake elbow for free
Iam will trying to see if a 1.87( I.D. ) to a 1.50 90 degree elbow will work ( silicone ) to replace the stock vw on the AAZ
let me Know

remove the stud on the exhaust manifold that holds the stock downpipe in place, Mcnally sells a drill and tap kit with there Gauges..
I did both my exhaust and Intake before coating( ceramic ) and powdercoating, I had the shop do the heat shield while they did the exhaust manifold..
Your real close to GPOPSHOP.com a turbo OHC shop that is building my K03/K04 hybrid turbo, they also do ceramic coated housings as well
Stay in touch,

About 9 out of 10 81-82's have that same interior color it seems like.
Great score on a solid Truck. Super cool and fuel efficient.
A lot of us have been getting lucky on finding good prospects this year.
Yellow has got to be a wild bright sight under the hood.
That would be a cool eye catcher.
Does yours have multi-leaf springs and/or spring assisted shocks on the rear ?

As for the drilling, I put mine close to the turbo in the downpipe. It's where a lot of big trucks have theirs. It's about 100 mdegrees cooler, but saves ruining a cast manifold.

Thanks for the compliments, It has the standard leaf springs, I will have to get new shocks all the way around! They are pretty worn out.
