Not seen that style mount, thought it was the same as mk3 golf.
I don't even know if you can fit that mount on the JR, tho I still wouldn't put it in if it did.
Looking at my 1z it seems you'll have clearance issues at the front of the engine with the alternator, changing the oil filter will be an engine out job and the dipstick will go through the rad!

all 4cyl flywheels and gearboxes should be interchangeable

Hi Jim,

 can you get a photo of the timing belt arrangement without the cover on? Ive got some thoughts on it but i dont want to say anything until im sure.

i have a complete mk3 golf subframe that ill be fitting to the car along with the golf engine mounts, so clearance wont be an issue hopefully  ;)

im not quite sure what to do about the wiring, as the lucas IP has rather a lot of wiring and sensors, where the gtd IP only has something like 2 or 3 wires
